N. Ga info on Hartwell??

Well Ive tried the Lanier trip about 5 times so far....great lake, only came away skunked once!!! But at 70miles 1 way....and 10mpg....its getting costly. So Im gonna shoot up Hwy 29 tomorrow and try out Hartwell, never been there not sure where Im gonna put in or get bait....(much less where to fish).......if anybody's got some info I'd appreciate it.....heck if anybody wants to go.....PM me we can set something up.
