Default Heading to Naples - boating/fishing alternatives?

I'm going to Naples the third week of January - my sister and BIL rent a condo at Foxfire for the month. Any advice on fishing or boat rentals?

Is a Florida license required for saltwater fishing? My sister said they see lots of people fishing off the pier at the development, what would they catch?

I know golf will be in the picture, but I'd like to experience some fishing also.

Thanks for any info you can provide!

You didn't say how long you are staying but if you are going to be like two weeks or so, I believe it's cheaper to buy a license for the whole year instead of two - One Week licenses. Good Luck and have fun.

Join the Ten Thousand Islands section of the Florida Sportsman forum, http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zeroforum?id=10

They will help you out.

Grouper would be a reasonable target fish.
