Default Moving to Florida

My wife and myself are thinkig about moving from germany to florida because we really love it over there.

I canīt stop dreaming about these incredibly rich fishing opportunities.
l
But we shouldnīt do anything before having talked to some people who know much better than we do about the circumstances regarding jobs and housing in florida.

I am doing real estate and insurance, my wife is doing technical engineering.

Does anybody know if its hard to find a job in these directions?

Are appartments very expensive?

Should we try a special area?(we donīt like miami that much...)

It would be nice to hear from you.

Best regards from bavaria,

Timmy and Tanja

Default RE: Moving to Florida

Welcome future Floridians!

The real estate market is on fire in Sarasota. Prices are going up at about 25% per year for the last three to five years. Apartments and housing in the area are high for Florida but you can probably afford it if you do really well in the real estate market. Tampa, Brandon and Bradenton are still reasonably priced. I personally like from Sarasota to the south on the west coast, The Jupiter area on the east coast and the Keys (not including Key West).

Good luck!

Thanks a lot for the information.

25% per year- thats really impressiv and frightning at the same time!

It will take a long time until we will get our greencards..........hopefully we can afford to build up a living in florida by then.

By the way:I probably wonīt be able to work in real estates in the states-thats just what Iīm doing in Germany.

Wish you lots of fish...........Timmy

European buyers are the majority of the buyers right now for waterfront and ocean properties in this area. If you are looking to buy on the Southeast coast (Stuart south to Boca) then send me an email. I may be able to assist.
