As Jupiter FL is the homebase for THT I would like to plan more localized events for the forum.

If you are in the Southeast area of Florida (Pompano to Stuart) and have some ideas for "get-togethers" and other events then sign in here. The Square Grouper in Jupiter is always a great hang but having lived in the Deerfield Beach area for 20 years as well we are aware of some great places down there.

Boynton Beach could be a great middle ground for everyone. A THT BBQ sounds like a great idea as well. The options are limitless. Let's see what we can get going here!

I'll move this to the Florida Forum soon. I think building a strong home base will be good for the entire forum

Heck, we could do something in my front yard.
We're right on the ICW with a great view. (Moonraker, the 116' yacht that does 67 knots is right across from us.)
At one time, we had New Years Eve parties with an attendance of over 400. Getting too old for that now. If we keep it to less than 100, I can pull that one off.

I'm with endo..either a raft up at Boca Inlet or Peanut island - If not a raft up, then just meet with a beer on the sand bar.

I think it would also be neat to do a cruise to the keys or bimini...no grand logistics plan - just all meet one saturday aft at the sand bar at holiday Isle....or Honey moon harbor...

I'm in for the Lake Boca raft-up. Also looking forward to my first trip to Bimini this summer. Looking for a couple other boats to make the crossing.

That's what we're offering. A THT BBQ. We're just a tick south of Boynton. A raftup sounds a bit complicated as there are some members that don't have boats at this time.
If a raftup becomes the only solution, I have a dinghy to transport any and all folks.

Let's make this happen.

If there is a Bimini trip planned, I'd love to trailer my boat down to the area and go with people that have some "local knowledge". I'm in Ocala, but have my 30 footer on a trailer. I just got it not long ago and it's the first time I've had a boat large enough to get over to the Bahamas, but, like I said, I'd really need to follow some people that have been.

Gersly, let me know what dates you are thinking of when the time gets closer and I'll round up a couple guys to run down there with me. We'll come the evening before and be ready for a 7 am departure. What type of fishing would you be doing? Bottom fishing? Having never been, I'd have to make sure we are coming with the right gear. Just let me know, I'd love to get some knowledge of the area from someone familiar with it.
