We went out again on Wednesday (8-3-05) and there were a few more people but still not bad at all. We had some friends in from Texas and took them up to one of the island, dropped anchor, and swam off the boat. We were going to go tubing again but I left part of the tube in the back of my pick-up at the ramp and didn't remember until about an hour into the trip . Still was a good time. Where do you put in?

Hi boys,

I just checked the forum. I'm still here, but incredibly busy. It's nice to know I'm missed.

I couldn't make the picnic on Sat. but maybe I'll be able to go up Sun. afternoon for a few hours.

I just notified Delta this week that I will be retiring on Sept. 1. It is 4 1/2 years early but if it will preserve my lump sum retirement money it will be worth it. I just need them not to file bankruptcy until after I receive the check.

I have been flying extra to pad my last few paychecks so I haven't been out in the boat in about 4 - 5 weeks. Maybe I'll have more time for it after Sept. 1.

Brian, if you're up there on Sun. afternoon maybe we can swing by Bob's or club island so I can take a look at your new boat. You up for that Bob? See ya'll soon.

Bo

Sorry I missed you. I was up Saturday night but left early Sunday. My wife had tried to back out of the garage with the door down, Did not work well as she had planned. So I had to get the door back on track so she could get her car out. Of all the things to get in the way of a great Sunday.

I understand a crowd was coming up to the lakehouse on Sunday so I imagine it was busy!

Maybe next weekend.

Sorry I missed you guys last weekend. This last minute flying is keeping me busy. I'm trying to pad my last paycheck with as much overtime as I can. We are real short handed and the overtime money is good. I'm busy this weekend and next but after Sept. 1, look out. See ya'll soon.

Hello, I saw the Lake Lanier Area Forum and wanted to introduce myself. I am fairly new the THT Forum and a new boater. I bought my first boat in February of this year and keep it up at Lake Lanier. I split my boating time between GA and FL (Jupiter Area). It's nice to see an active Lake Lanier Area forum. See ya around.

Welcome Jupiter. I saw a yellow hulled Edgewater near by dock last weekend. Could that have been you?

I keep my boat at Weavers Boat Storage and launch out of Young Deer -- Mine is white with a tan bimini top. I was not out last weekend, but I do hope to get out this weekend. Crossing my fingers for good weather. Thank you for the warm reception Parthery and Bobs cay. It's nice to meet other boaters in the area. :-)

I'll look for you and/or give you a*call on the radio...I generally launch from 6 mile or Charleston since the boat is at North Lanier Storage now...

Won't see me over the Labor Day holiday though...I'll be offshore Port Canaveral

Welcome JupiterEdge, I do a lot of boating in the Stuart area and just bought a condo on Hutchinson Island in Ft. Pierce. Hope to see you on the lake.

Do you plan on keeping your boat up here or in Jupiter? I keep mine in Vanns Tavern storage and trailer to Fl. quite a bit.

Bo

I keep my boat at Weavers Boat Storage (lake lanier). I trailer it down to Florida about 3 times a year. I plan on taking it down for a week at Thanksgiving. Stuart/Hobe Sound is a nice area -- I like to motor up the intercoastal from Jupiter to anchor up at Peck Lake and/or cruise out the Port Saint Lucie inlet. Great Spanish Mackeral Fishing up there. I grew up in Florida so most of my family and old friends are still down there in the Jupiter/Palm Beach area. Hope to meet up with you guys sometime. I will be out this Saturday - plan to be out in the morning and taking some friends to lunch at Holiday Marina. Funny, I haven't named my boat yet - but if you call me JupiterEdge - I'll know its me. :-). If I call you on the Radio would I ask for BoKat or Fly n Fish? Parthery, I assume you go by Double Trouble? and Bobs Cay goes by Bobs Cay?

I am going to try and get up Saturday, but it might be late afternoon. Try me on the VHF, "Bob's Cay" as you guessed. Somewhere way back in this thread there are directions to our place. By land we are down Shady Grove Road from Weaver's. We use the Deek Creek ramp to launch the waverunners, so we are close by.

Last weekend Brian brought his new(est) boat over and we talked about trying to get everyone together before summer is over. Labor Day weekend is not a good time but perhaps a weekend or two after that.

I launch at Deer Creek -- should be launching around 10am and will be out for a few hours. I'll give you a call on 16 to see if you are out boating. Would be great to meet fellow boaters.

Bokat is correct for me. I put my name and my wife's name (Bo & Kathy) together to come up with it. I have to go to a wedding Sat. night but I might try to sneak up for a little while on Sat.

It was a beautiful day on Lanier today. -- I launched at 10am and pulled the boat out around 4:30pm. I motored by your place Bob, the Duck is a great landmark - can't miss that Duck! Tried calling you on the radio but never got a hold of you. When we went by your house we saw a man asleep in a hammock between your house and the neighbors - was that you? Didn't want to disturb your peaceful rest if it was. BoKat did you make it out today? See you guys out there one of these days. :-)
