Was up last weekend...Sundays seem to be better than Saturdays for me lately...was planning to go today but the weather................*

Anybody know when annual launch permits for 2005 are going to be released?* Paying every time is a nuisance.

Hi guys,

Glad somebody was having a good time at the Lake. I had to travel to take care of some details with my son's upcoming wedding.

I have called the Corps of Engineers every month since December. The latest word from them is the stickers will be in around the first week in Apr. The date keeps sliding. If you have a 2004 sticker it is still good until the new ones come out.

Parthery,

I haven't been on here in a while and just noticed your post. I called the local Corps. number and was told the stickers will be available the first part of April and the old stickers would be good until the new ones come out. I just called back today and the stickers are available. The local number I called is: 770-945-9531. If you've picked up your new one you can disregard this post.

I would call them before you go during the week to see if they're open.

Got the pass this morning....its a plastic mirror hang tag this year*...sticker indicates expiration date.

$30 apiece...no discount for the 2nd one...but no need for a second one either...they are not vehicle specific...

Yes, we did. Some nice Red Snapper. The club had a good day on Fri. Most boats brought in Red Snapper, some pretty large, also some Grouper and a Cobia. Sat. was very rough, 4 - 6 and windy, only a few boats went out. We hauled the boat out Sat. morning and drove to a ramp on the intercoastal and took the ladies we had with us on about a 25 mile cruise down to Apalachicola. All in all, a fun weekend.

I am leaving today for 4 days but will be back Thurs. afternoon. Fri. or Sat. I might be available to get that splitter to you.

Is anybody been going to the Lake? This thread has been quiet for awhile. I've been up the last couple of weekends mainly working on stuff around the house. Did get in a couple of good evening boat rides. Last Saturday was real nice and but it was real strange as almost everybody on the water had what looked like brand new boats!

Had to have a new engine put in my kids Waverunner during the off season and it should be ready this weekend. I'm sure the presuure he will apply will keep me at the lake this summer.

I was up there Sat. for a little while with my son's future father-in-law. I'm trying to work out an autopilot issue that has cropped up since I repowered last fall. The lake was a bit rough below Brown's Bridge, with all the boats out. It was a nice day all in all.

Bob, are you interested in hosting a GW get together at your dock one afternoon? We can make the first one short and no big deal just to meet anyone who shows up. It seems that we have a fairly active thread going so maybe we would get a good turnout. Let us know if you are game and we can come up with a date.

Bo

The get together is a great idea. My dock is fine if it is ok with everybody. We have a lot of family up on holidays so we should avoid Memorial day weekend. I've got a company party this Saturday and also 25th wedding anniversary so this weekend is probably not good. How 'bout weekend of the 24th?

Bob,

June 24th sounds OK with me tentatively. I don't have my June schedule yet, but should have it by May 15th. Our Bahamas trip June 5 - 12 takes priority right now so I may have to work a few weekends to get that time off. I'll let you know as soon as I know.

It was good to meet Parthery tonight at the Saltwater club meeting. I believe we have another member.

Actually I had something come up while I was posting and didn't get a chance to reread. Guess I left the month off and got the date wrong. What I really meant to say was sometime the weekend of May 21, but if the weekend of June 25th works better that is probably OK too.

Sorry for the confusion.

If its on May 21, I'll have to come by land...making the delivery of the Double Trouble tomorrow morning...

Its also possible that I will be out of town on the sea trial for the new "Double Trouble"...I would love to be there but won't be able to firm up my plans til the middle of the week...
