Hey guys, glad to hear everyone is getting out on the lake. We are heading to some kind of "conch republic" party on the lake Saturday. Anyone know what the heck that party is all about and where it is? Anyone want to try to hook-up and fish?

Boobs... first mention that I have heard of it. I am going to try and snag some stripers Sunday morning.. as long as I can get a kitchen pass Maybe I will see/ hear you out there.

If you hear of any of the details of the "conch republic" party, let me know.

Hi boys, I'm back. I decided not to pursue the AirTran job. I can't believe how busy with that I have been for the last month. With some financial changes it looks like full retirement might work after all. I hope to catch up with you guys on the water again. See ya on the lake.

Bo

Welcome back, Bo!!!!

We're bringing the Grady down to the house this weekend for cleaning (again ) and getting the boat name applied. Hopefully back on the water .... maybe Sunday if weather Saturday allows us to get the boat work done.

2 weeks from Friday, we'll be in Port Royal Sound of Hilton Head seeing if we can get into some cobia!! Can't wait!!! ... also, the asst mgr. of the marina taking some days off and is meeting up to fish with us (he has a GW228 also). One day we're also going out with him and his father who also lives at HHI. We'll be going out on his Dad's 2006 GW 330 Express with twin F250s . I'll try to get some pix to share after I clean the drool off myself.

Bo, I am happy to hear that you have not given up yet on the full time "job free" lifestyle the lucky few enjoy. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Harv

Maybe a Sunday get together? Saturday is not great for me this weekend.

Is our resident dock owner available?

Time to break out the portable BBQ....

Geez Bo, was the boat and retirement so much work you decided to slow down and go back to work???

Still down in South Florida but probably headed back sometime tomorrow. Not sure when or if I will make it to the Lake this weekend. Just give me a call on the radio if you go up. What's the weather prediction for this weekend?

...Showers 30-40% Sat. and Sun. Dad and I are going to try to get the boat name/Collonite on Fri or Sat, and burn off some of the aux tank Sunday before going to the beach. Brian-that get together would be great wx permitting. Hope there's a good turnout

Thanks guys, It's good to be back. Starting all over with a new airline is tough and at this stage in life my heart was not in it like I thought.

Bob, the boat and retirement was a piece of cake compared to learning a new airplane and new procedures in just a few weeks.

I am trying to talk Kathy into some boating on the lake Sun. afternoon. I'll look for ya'll.

I will be attending a funeral Sunday so looks like no go for me. I may head up tonight however and hang around tomorrow for a while.

brdawg2001, Did you make the run to the stream on Sun and if so, how did you do? Where do you launch or leave from?

Hey, what happened to our other 19 pages of extremely valuable info? The other day we were up to 31 pages now we have 12? Wiley mus be cleaning out the attic.

I made it up late Friday and stayed most of Saturday. Got some things done on the boat including surprising Brian by having the boat actually out of the boathouse. Gonna try again this weekend but may have a graduation to go to Saturday. Maybe we will see you around the lake.

Bob

PS - I know the next time I am up I will have to refuel. Anybody know if Lanier Harbor still has the best prices (with Boat/US discount of course)?

Never mind, just noticed it now shows 40 messages per page rather than 15. Our archive is intact!

JiminGA and Iwere there Sunday. Tried to figure out to Position Request each other through the DSC. I've got to change some wiring around and hope that it will plot on the GPS.

The admiral and I may make a late afternoon appearance on Sat.and do the cookout thing. It appears we have a baby sitter for the evening. If anyone else is up that way, speak up....

You guys have fun this weekend... hope the weatherman is wrong... he's talking weekend rain... again

Brian, thanks for the DSC help last Sunday... let me know when you're ready for another test after your wiring redo.... btw, I did confirm that the Icom 402 is NMEA input only. For output you have to go to a higher priced unit.

We're involved with "other stuff" this weekend, and heading to Hilton Head late next week... gonna try to get some "blood on the deck" for the first time... thay say the cobia bite is really heating up . We'll catch up with you guys in a few weeks....
