Hey Bo, I hit the lake on Sunday afternoon also. Sorry I missed ya, I was out from about 3 till 5pm or so. You are right, it was a beautiful day. I saw fish jumping all over the place - but didn't bring a fishing rod along. Looks like Walden75 has got it figured out! Nice Fish.

Walden75,
I answered your post in the other section about the aerator. Did you go with a separate air pump or put in the second valve you were talking about? I would normally go with you but I have to get some things done before working my fishing club's booth at the boat show and then meeting the rest of the THT'ers. Good luck.

By the way, I have two 3yr. old Stowaway Marine starting batteries that I took out of my boat. I replaced them with two AGM's because the newer motors I put on require a more powerful battery. They have been on an onboard charger (not contiuous trickle charge) while the boat's not in use and they are 450 CCA's with 65 reserve amps. Can anybody use them or know of someone who can? I will sell them for $25 a piece. I can deliver in Atlanta area. Let me know if interested.

Thanks for the offer on the Batts, a day ago I would have gladly taken you up on that, but I got some when I picked up the motor. Im not really up on "best of the best" for batteries, so I just got 2 group 27 AC Delco Voyagers, hope they'll do alright.

Hope to do some good tomorrow on the water, what channel do most guys monitor out on the lake?

Let us know how you do fishing tomorrow. What about the aerator? Did you buy the separate pump with the hose and stone or did you add a valve to recirculate the water?

Maybe some of the other guys who read this might need/know someone who can use them. It was a general post for everyone. The Voyagers are good batteries. I have had them in the past and was real pleased. I could not find them with enough CCA's for my motors or I would have bought them again. Have fun.

I was back up at Hammond'd on Tuesday, started talking about the pump and decided to just go with a Mr Bubbles Box, I got the one they had thier thats designed for 2 livewells, but I just have both outputs Y'd into 1 line feeding into my rear well. I liked it cuase it was simple, and like you said, all I have to do is use the clamps on my cranking battery and away I go.....Its all hidden in my bilge, so it worked out well. If these guys from Rooms 2 Go would ever show up, Id be out on the lake trying it out......gotta love...."we'll be there from 7am-3pm"......last time they showed up at 701 and woke me up......but when ya wanna leave.....well.....Im still online & its 10am ##(^$$&@@)$??!!

CYA out there.....

Join the skunked crowd. I think I'm president of that group. I'm sure you enjoyed the water anyway. We had fun at the boat show last night, also. Sorry you missed it, I hope we'll meet another day.

Hey, guys. I have been planning a trip to Fl. next week for several months, I wasn't going to take the boat but I just decided today that I will. I will be in Stuart for a couple of days then Clearwater Beach for a couple of days then back to Stuart for a few more days. Brian and Bob, I will be able to get my brother-in-law to help with the thru hull replacement in some warm weather so I won't need you guys to help, thanks anyway. Great get together at the boat show, glad to see you guys.

Brian, I'll be around the Mt. Vernon Highway/Northside Dr. area sometime on Sat. Is that near you? I could meet you or come to you and pick up the seat. Call my cell if I'm going to be near you, 404-218-8834. If I don't hear from you by the time I leave I'll call yours.

Well you REALLY had to wanna be out there today.......it wasnt too bad, I left big spots biting (4-6#s) in search of some Stripers.....all I found was more spot and zero vis fog....Thank God I bought that Navionics Map last week, or else I'd still be out there trying to find my way back!!!!

Tomorrrow is a maybe depending on the weather, mild and wet I can handle, but cold, wet and windy is too much.

BTW, Parthery, which channel do yall monitor out there?? I tried ya a couple of times with no luck.

Cya

Hi ya'll, from sunny S. Fl. Temps sound like they are a lot nicer down here than they are up there, but once again, windy. We tried to go out today in my brother-in-law's 25' Parker but it was too rough. We tried bottom fishing a couple of miles out but a guy we had with us from Dallas, Tx wasn't feeling too good so we came in. He's not used to salt water fishing. It was pretty uncomfortable anyway. Others are catching sails out there, though. We are finished with the business that I came down here for and I will be able to work on the boat in warm wx today and tomorrow. I don't think I'll be able to go outside as it is supposed to blow for the rest of the week. I hope everyone is doing well in Atlanta....Bo

We just got back from the USVI and talk about windy. Seemed like 20 kt winds for 4 days. It was even uncomfortable on the beach. Too much sand in your drink.

Hope Lanier is calmer this weekend!

Just thought I'd let you guys know... Adam and I are going to get together with Ken Sturdivant for an all day on-the-water striper school in 2 weeks. I've never done any before and I decided to spring for some real instruction. I'll let you know how it goes. Bob and Bo ... sorry you had the wind problems.... hope to see you guys soon.

Hi Brian and Bo.. can't go this Sat.... will be at USPS course... the Admiral wanted to know more about boat handling, navigation, etc, etc. She signed up for it on her own --- her idea!!!... so I'm accompaning her. I can't help but be supportive when she wants to take a boating course!!!!

The next Sat is "striper school" with Sturdivant. So MAYBE the 11th??
