Default Offshore SW Florida

Went grouper fishing on Saturtday and the bite seemed to be off So I headed to some structure in 75 feet and ended up getting some decent mangs, and yellowtails. Finally remembered to bust out the camera so I figured I would post a report.

CT' I've heard the R tower out that way holds some nice yellowtail. The bottom is supposed to be pretty good around that area too. I'm out of Doctor's Pass so any info would be great. And nice pics and report.

Nice catch. I was fishing hard bottom for Reds, ussualy dont have too much trouble limiting out this time of year. Oh well, not much beats a mess of fresh YT snapper.

Pro, what you have heard is right, the R tower does hold YT's sometimes and there is some good bottom around it.

We probably threw back 50 or 60 short reds as well, all 19 - 19.5''. Half the world would have probably kept those fish but on my boat I am 100% legal. Those little guys were putting up some impressive fights though!

Last thursday fished live bottom off Marco, Limited on Reds plus one 40" cobia in one hour flat. Back home, cleaned up and lunch at Crazys by 12:30.

Wish every day was like that. It was rough as crap but the fishing was as good as I have seen.
