Default Terra Ceia Gator Trout. 3/20

Decided to leave the bay boat at the house so we went stealthy in the Canoe. I put in around the corner of my house in Miguel Bay. Miguel bay is right between Terra Ceia bay and Tampa Bay. It's a nice shortcut and great trout fishing at times. We picked up a few dozen live shrimp from a shop down the road and started paddling at 11am. we picked through short trout early then Mike boated a 18" and we were on the board. Bite was slow but steady 1 or 2 fish per drift. We caught a few on jigs but mostly they were on the Live shrimp under a popping cork. Near the end of the day I hooked a solid trout and It turned out to be my personal best. 15 years of serious trout fishing and this guy topped them all.

26.5" and 6.5 lbs.
