Still blowing out of the north all week. The warm water has to get here sooner or later.

I think we will get em this week. the wind is supposed to start blowing out of the south. We caught one really small fish last week over a wreck, and we say the rays free swimming just east of 8A last week, but they had no fish on them.

Hey Mike,
Ran a tile trip out of the cape last week and didn't see a thing in the channel. Ran up the beach to ponce after that and no cobs. or rays, just one right whale with a calf and a pack of porpoises playing around them.
Water is still really cold in there! Will keep an eye out this week.....Joe

Thanks Joe, got a halfday trip tomorrow. I guess I'll be bottom fishing, throwing RS back. Hopefully the sharks are around.

fished from bethel to south pelican today with only one cobiaa to show for it. jigged him up off a rock. water temps are frigid out there. i have a feeling we are not going to get our normal run of fish this year.

Made another trip out to the stream the other day.......COLD, green water out to the 30 mi. line. Nothing on the troll and 1st bite at the ledge.....a flag dolphin, nothing else out to 800 ft.
Even the tilefish didn't want to bite too well. Took 2 days to get a 300# trip limit. Not too good after burning 100 gal of gas and traveling 200 miles round trip. Whatcha gonna do though?
PS, Stopped at the 28 ledge on the way in to try to catch a trigger for dinner but couldn't catch anything but the supposedly extinct red snappers and red porgies......on a double rig with tiny pieces of squid!!!! They are thick and hungry...

Saw a few reports on the FS Forum including an 81lb'er and a 60lb+ this week out of PC. I spent Thursday and Friday touring colleges (FSU & UF) with my daughter, and today I need to work or else I'd be out there.

Limited out 15 miles offshore on a reef. Didn't get them all, will check it out again after the weather breaks.
