Conch Realty in Marathon? - The Hull Truth

Does anyone have any info on this company? We are planning our vacation to Marathon and I used VRBO last year. Someone else is making the arrangements this year and this company popped up. Most of the houses we are looking at are on the Atlantic side just several canals to the south of Vaca cut.

The rates are competitive, I was just wondering if anyone had any local knowledge of their rental reputation.

You should check out TripAdvisor. Seems they don't have the greatest reputation. No personal experience with them.

I have used them a few times with no problems. I rented a boat from him the first time,a 22' Whaler.Other times I brought my down. I rented a house on Duck Key from him. It had a pool on a canel. I would recomend.

Used them about 7 years ago. No problems. Best vacation we ever had. We rented a house and a boat. I think the guys name was Adam Angerman. Like jvtuna, I rented a 22 Whaler. No issues, very nice people.

I have a reservation with Conch Realty the first week of April. Place is just north of Vaca cut and we are renting one of their boats. First time I have been to the Keys. I will let you know how it goes.

I have known the broker and family operating Conch Realty in Marathon for quite a few years. They served my brother well in the purchase of his home in Marathon in about 1980 and stayed in touch since. They have always kept their word on everything they undertook for everyone we met in the Florida Keys over the years and now I have given them my own home, recently purchased through another broker (my mistake) to rent as a vacation rental. This is the first year they are renting my property and I have full confidence that they will look after it like their own. So far the reviews written about our own PELICAN HOUSE on Grassy key are 2 and both wonderful.

There are a few reviews about Conch Realty that are not complimentary, to be sure, but my guess is that they encountered the customer from hell to get that. We all meet such a person from time to time, perhaps hateful or simply ill informed, that no matter how much you try to please them, they simply can't like anything.

I suppose people who write reviews either like or dislike something. Perhaps knowing the Florida keys a bit, and what to expect, intelligent prospective customers may understand that the community is a bit laid back so they don't expect New York or Las Vegas when they come visit for a relaxing fishing vacation on the seaside.

I have seen a lot of their homes and they are nice and well taken care of.

I wish we would have just used him last Jan for a boat and house.

He has the deals on boats if you are just looking for an average boat, I got one from him and of course it broke down but he came out on the water and fixed it right away. (honestly just wish I would have gone back to him and saved a ton of money)

I went with another boat company this last time and I wasn't impressed at all, nicer boats but crappy service and for the money we were spending we should have had a little more attention to our problem, they acted like I did something to the boat when I called, they actually asked me if I was steering too much?

Since it had twin engines I said actually no I know how to drive a twin screw boat unlike your guys that took 20 minutes putting in on my dock.

We are going in July and if they aren't any better with their service on this boat then we will be going back to Conch Realty and we may just stay at one of his homes because at least he responds when there is issues.

I stay with them every year going down in a week for another stay .. he is the best in the keys for nice house and boat rental..
