Default Reputable Yamaha mechanic- North Tampa/Lutz/Land O Lakes?

Had a little engine trouble yesterday coming in. I hope it's a simple fix that I can do on my own, but I figure I will have the annual service on the engines done now since I won't be able to get out for a few weeks anyway b/c of my schedule.
Anyone know of a good Yamaha mechanic in my neck of the woods. I was trailering my old boat down to Don's in Gibsonton. They did good work and always had it ready when they said they would- just looking for someone closer that any of you may have had good results with.

I am new to this forum and though i don't have a boat YET, my buddy always took his boat to Bob's marine on Florida avenue a little south of bearss. He's an older guy that works on all sorts of stuff and does pretty good work. Maybe worth a try. Good luck and hopefully it's nothing major.

Give john Drew a call. He just got back from the latest Yamaha certifications school about a month ago. He has done work for me on my Merc engines and is first rate and very fair, plus he comes to you. (813) 458-7192. Tell him Don from Little Harbor recommended him.

Thanks for the recommendations. I already took the boat in to Land O Lakes. I'll let everyone know about how they are after I find out. Seem like good people though.

I have used Family Boating Center on Anderson for my hundred hour service and have recommended the place to others for repairs. They do really good work, but they are not exactly on the cheap side. Good luck with the boat. Gotta get rolling by grouper season!

How was your experience?

I'll be looking for a good Yamaha mechanic in (or near) Pasco County to perform the oil pump replacement service bulletin on a 250 HPDI.

They were OK. I decided to repower and their quote was too high on the motors so I took my boat to Advantage Boat Works in Drew Park. He is now my mechanic.
