Default Panama City Beach, FL ?

Ok. Need some direction. I am visiting the In laws in Panama City Beach during Christmas and would like to get some fishing in. I will not have my boat so i assume i will have to go to a pier or a jetty. I fished off the jetty last time and it was a rigging nighmare so i will most likely find a pier. Does anyone have any suggestions on what pier, tackle to bring, etc? I am from West Central Fl but do not have any N. Florida fishing experience. Thanks in advance!!!!!!

I dunno if I'm allowed to do this but go to www.emeraldcoastpierfishing.com ... there's good local info on PCB piers. Good group there.

Thanks for the info fellas. I love the In-laws but know a good fishing break will do wonders. I would chip in for a charter if the price isn't too crazy. Let me know. I would love to hit some grouper up. Thx

You have several choices. There is a pier at the jetties. There is also one on the bay side inside the park. The new city pier out on the beach is now open. There is a fishing walkway at Deerpoint dam where spec fishing can be hot. There are railed fishing slabs under each end of Hathaway Bridge. There is a pier in Mexico Beach, {a few miles away}. There is a fishing platform at West Bay under the bridge, {ICW}. Those are the ones that come to mind.
