Red face Sarasota area marina or high & dry

Will be moving to the Sarasota area and would like some info on good places to put a 24 -26 foot CC.

Depends where you will live. I rented at Phillippi Harbor Club last year - indoor rack, nice facility. A little shallow on the way in, but fine for a 20-30' outboard. Siesta Key Marina at Stickney Point is great. Outdoor facility, a little more expensive, but Jim Reilly is the best. Both are 15 minutes to Gulf.

Up at City Island on the way to Longboat is Marinemax directly on New Pass.

Hope these help.

craigzo is correct depends on where in sarasota you live
and how you use your boat ie family fun or fishing.
if you fish you want to be near a pass. the icw in sarasota
has many long no wake zones. it's my opinion that the
venice pass is closer to consistently good fishing.
hope this helps

I am currently at the Bradenton Beach Marina with my 24 Bay Boat. They have both wet and indoor high and dry. There is also a mechanic there as well as 24 hour security with both cameras and a live body to watch them.Fuel is ethanol free, they flush engine and wash the sides each time they pull the boat.
I was going to go to Phillipi Harbor but decided not to since they do not have night time security and also the problem with the no wake zones .

Where I am now I can be fishing in Tampa Bay, Egmont Key or south into Sarasota Bay within 30 minutes.

They are not cheap, but nothing in that area is. I pay 350 a month for a 24ft with a Tee Top.
