It's on the chart for that area buy it it's a good info source. It's a good place to find some blackfins every now and then ,also you can chum up big yellowtails there but as far as bottom fish all thats left are big ,I mean BIG goliath grouper (jew fish) .It's a good dive site if you can dive in the low 100' range , deepest part sits in about 124' .

The Mexican Pride sank a long time ago. It is not an artificial reef but an old time wreck.

The first time I dove it was back in about 1975. That sucker, as big as it is, was mighty hard to find with LORAN A. There were not a helluva lot of Grouper on it then but at one time, I could see more than 100 Jewfish. I speared some big Grouper on it at night along with a 110# Cuberra Snapper but again, that was almost 30 years ago. Tons of big Amberjacks and Permit there in those days.

One dive shop operator in Pinellas Co. told me he had powerheaded over 300 Jewfish on the Pride and left them to feed the Sharks "because they were eating all of the Grouper."---Yeah, right.

With the advent of LORAN C, the Pride became easy to find and now days, except for sightseeing, it isn't worth much. I haven't been to the Pride since GPS came into being.

There is a lot of good bottom in the vicinity and a helluva lot more about 12 miles NW. I commercial fished in the area for several years and can attest to the fact that there is some fine fishing down there.

I have both LORAN A (worthless) and LORAN C(dead nuts) coordinates on the Pride if that would help

I hope the German Submarine is still a heavily guarded secret. I'd certainly not give the numbers to a soul.

The Pride looks very broken up compared to when we used to dive it . go during the week, the weekends are a zoo. We have caught nice Gags and large snapper recently, it is a very good spot for AJ's. The deck used to be@85 feet I cant mark anything above 90 anymore.

whopperstopper,
I wouldn't ask for the numbers for the German Sub, but I sure would like to hear the story. (If there is one)

Thanks
