Default Swordfish?

I've located some sites indicating that Swordfishing is making a steady comeback around the lower peninisula to the Keys.

Any thoughts?

Is this strictly seasonal night-fishing?

How far out?

What kind of rigs required?

Thanks.

The swordfish population is making a rebound with multiple fish trips a common occurance at times. It is strictly a night fishing event that is usually fished depending on moon phases. We usually got about 15 off of the Hollywood area and drift over some humps and what not. It seems to be a productive area that I have yet to be skunked at. The average size fish is about 80-120 lbs. Tackle consists of 50 lb stand-up gear with 400 lb leaders and 10/0 offset hooks fished at varying depths with live, bridled goggle-eyes, blue runners, and large dead squid.

There is actually a tournament this weekend. Some big fish have been landed recently. If you're looking for a charter try Ray Rosher on the "Miss Britt".

as sundance kid said, the swords are on the rise.I fish usually 3-5 nights a week off miami and ft lauderdale for them, and get fish pretty regularly. Not always monsters but fish.We have pulled a few over 200 this yr so far.Winter is the better time to fish, but summer has been producing also.Aquid and live baits are ideal.

I would like to post some pics, but i have no clue how can one of u guys help me out!thanks
