Anybody have a good recommendation for Sun morning October 25th. Only need about 4 hours for some light tackle action.

I'll be in town to visit my sister and bro-in-law and would like to get out for a few hours.

Last minute trip so any advice would be appreciated!

Last sunday I took my son out of Anna Maria Island for half day charter with Todd Romine. After catching the bait we were into fish in about five minutes. the first two hours we caught lots of spanish macks, spinner sharks, jacks and bluefish. There were some snapper in there but we could never get past the jacks.

the next two hours we went one mile inshore and caught reds and snook. Honestly I lost count on how many we caught. we did keep our limit on reds and only got one slot snook. the rest were too big.

Are you looking to fish with live bait, artificial, or fly?

Best bet is to call a local tackle shop and ask them to book the trip for you with one of the guides they know. That way they're calling guides, matching up what you want to do and how you want to do it -- not you.

Be honest with your expectations and experience. Some guides are good with "inexperienced" anglers, others are not. Also, be understanding about the fishing. We are now in the middle of the best and worst of fishing. Fall weather is great -- but after a front comes through (like it did on Fri/Sat) temps drop and the wind howls for 3-4 days afterwards. Fishing can take a dive.
