Default Snook Clearwater

Looking for some advice - I've got a buddy coming in town this weekend and would like to put him on some snook and reds. Will be fishing on my boat (Robalo) so it's not exactly a shallow draft vessel. Will the barrier and spoil island still be holding snook still this time of year? Also, how some thoughts on reds? We'll primarily be fishing live bait. Thanks
