Default Help needed for Key Largo area!

My wife and I and another couple are pulling the boat down the second week in September to Key Largo! Hoping to get on some Dolphin and bottom action. Are the Dolphin still biting pretty good that time of year? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Any info would be appreciated! Good places to eat, clubs for folks in their 40's n 50's, recommended snorkeling areas, fishing, anything?

Thanks!

Dolphin fishing- Can be OK and cold in September. They have actually been hot and cold all summer. September is not a great dolphin month but you can probably catch some.
Snorkeling- Pennekamp Reef..great
Fishing- Patch reefs, chum for yellowtails, drop something live to the bottom too.
Bars/Clubs- Try Jimmy Johnsons in Key Largo, Lorelei and Morada Bay in Islamorada
Restaurant- There are a lot of good ones but my favorite right now is Lazydays in Islamorada.
Check out Florida Sportsman site for Keys fishing reports.

Try the resturant next to World wide Sportsman. It's a little bit of a ride from Key Largo but food was very good. I had the Yellowfin Tuna in sesame seeds seard and served with a Wasabee sauce. Of course it was rare, about $23.00.Wife had Dolfin. we both had drinks and desert. I think total was around $80. + tip. As far as fishing goes try this link for a chart http://www.captainsegullcharts.com/ use the one for the upper Keys.

Dolphin fishing has been hit and miss most of the summer. Yellowtail has been real good. any of the reefs out of Key Largo will be great for snorkling. The water has been real clear all summer. Try the Fish House, Hobo's or ballyhoo's for good food. On the weekends Jimmy Johnson's has a Miami beat. You can launch your boat at Carribean Club for $10.00 in and out. Also they have a band on the weekends...Enjoy your trip

There's a glass bottom boat that goes out from where the African
Queen is hanging. Its a little touristy, but interesting if you've never
done it before.

Not to jinks your trip, but watch the weather reports. 2nd week in September is the peak of hurricane season....It has been my experience that the probability of a storm shutting down your vacation is directly proportionate to the amount of money and time invested in planning the trip.

2nd the fish house. Morada Bay Beach Cafe (The place next to Wide World Sportsman) Have fun
