Default Stuart, Hobe Sound Marina Recomendations

I am thinking of leaving my boat in the Stuart area this winter and spring and am looking for a reasonable and safe marina to leave my boat while I am away. I draw 5 feet and would like a decent marina for the money as my sister and mother will come and stay on it without me. Thanks for your time.

There are no public Marina's in Hobe Sound that I am aware. Your best bet would be in the Manatee Pocket. Check the Pirates Loft, Sailfish Marina, etc. I think the restaurant Fins even has dockage available but the draft may be a challenge.

There's the new dockage by the Roosevelt Bridge. It's where the city docks were. Huizinga built it.

Default Stuart Marinas

Hi-
I'm brand new here as I am looking for a new marina, as well. I am currently in Palm Beach, and am thinking of moving north to Stuart. I want to be around real boaters, not paid crew. I've looked at both The Harborage and The Marriott. Both have lovely ammenities. Sunset Bay, the new place, was full for the winter and taking names for a waiting list when I called last week.
Would love to know anything else you might find out.
Best,
Holly

Yeah Bill they have a helluva deal right now was by there the other day checking out the marina an the pricing was outstanding at 8.00 bucks a foot, cheaper than the Hinckley rat hole where I keep my boat.

I would move over there were it not farther from my house. If that guy draws 5 feet he really should stay away from the pocket for the most part plus its more expensive

http://www.sunsetbaymarinaandanchora.../location.html here is the link very nice place and they allow live aboard

Thanks all for responding. So if you draw 5 feet then should stay out of manatee pocket? Any more info like that? I am still thinking about staying in Ft. Pierce but have had 2 people say it is a little rough when you get off the water. What do you all think? What do you guys think about Pelican yacht club up in Ft. Pierce? Thanks again for your help.
