Default Numbers for Maryland Hump?

Been hearing on the radio about the Maryland hump and that it's not far from Cudjoe. Anyone have #s and willing to share? Guy at the bait shop mentioned it too but he didn't have the numbers with him.

Was out today in the morning on the Adolphus Busch. Didn't have much luck. Caught one nice King and lots of blues. Was just messing around with a sabiki rig on a really light setup while waiting for my bottom lines to hit with the blues. They put up a good fight on 3lb test. Had a big 'cuda circling around most of the day. I fed him some of the blues. Bottom rigs didn't get anything except the king and he hit on the drop.

Or " The canyons"????
+/- 28 miles off marathon.....pull up google earth and you will see the canyons pretty well defined.
Fished it last year once. Bring plenty of live bait for tuna.

Also not far from Cudjoe is Maryland SHOALS the next major shoal along the reefline west of American Shoals ( the light is on American Shoals) which you no doubt saw while you were fishing the Busch wreck.

I appreciate the replies. I'm pretty sure it's maryland hump. I've heard it called that by several folks now anyway. I think it may be just a hump somewhere between maryland and american shoal. I'll head out there this weekend and watch the sonar. If I do find something I'll update my post.

Well I ended up not fishing this weekend. My brother was in town with his girl friend and wanted to do some sonrkelling so we hit Looe Key. I did go check out the area though and I think I found it. Wasn't where I thought it would be at all and I was lucky to find it. I was right, just a random hump that isn't on the charts as a hump. Lots of good looking marks on the sonar and the side look looked good too. I'm planning on heading back there this weekend for some fishing if the weather allows.

Well, finally made it out there yesterday. On a side note it was my 2 1/2 month old daughter's first boat trip ever! She didn't mind riding but wasn't a fan of stopping to fish. Wife got seasick too so I didn't get to stay out too long, maybe 45 minutes or so. I did set some nice gray snapper though. I was hoping to chum up something, yellowtail mostly. Never saw anything in the chum line and my baits went untouched. I was dropping half a ballyhoo to the bottom and that's what the grays were hitting. Seemed like all i did was bait up and drop, set the rod in the holder, turned around and shook ths chum bag and when I turned back the rod was bent over. I caught 4 like that as fast as I could drop them down. Biggest was 32" smallest was 22". Was pretty happy with that but was hoping for more topwater action. Maybe it's my technique? or maybe just the spot? Anyone got a good spot for what I'm looking for and want to trade?
