For an objective opinion (I've driven past both, but not looked), go to the Florida Sportsman Magazine website & forum.
http://www.floridasportsman.com

The Forum link is on the top banner of the homepage. There is a "subforum" for each region in Florida: (Keys, South, Southeast, West Central, ...) Click on the "Keys General Info" forum and do a search on both places. Click on the "Keys Fishing Reports" if you want to know how the bite is.

If you don't see the info you need after the search, join the forum and post your question.

My family and I stayed at Coral Lagoon for one night in 2007. We were only there one night because we were renting a house in Marathon and arrived a day early. The place was brand new and was quite nice. I'm sure it still is. The interiors are nicely done with quality materials. Although everything is close together on the grounds, it's not as noticeable because of the plant life. Each unit has a nice sitting deck overlooking the canal in the rear. It's very close to Marathon and all the conveniences.

They had just completed Coral Lagoon when the RE market started tanking. When we were there they were asking around $1.3 million for a 3 bedroom unit. I just saw some advertised in Soundings for under $700k...
