Random Quote: Patty Hearst heard the burst from Roland's Thompson gun, and bought it.
I know White City fairly well...my grandmother had a house at 5909 Citrus...it isn't there anymore...it got moved about a 1/2 mile north. Big white house with green trim, right on the St Lucie River. My aunt sold it several months ago after my grandmother died.

We just sold our Parkland House (Heron Bay) and are moving to Jupiter.
I would imagine where you're looking Wellington is a better value right now.* New homes in Parkland are out of reach and new Heron Bay is way behind schedule.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother fulltilt. Very good chance I knew of her. Been around here for 34 years.

You just might have known her, she and her husband (my grandfather, who passed away many years ago) moved to White City in the early 50's and bought the Capt Hammond house from his grand daughter. The house was built in the late 1890's and early 1900's. When they bought it it was surrounded by citrus groves. For a long time they sold citrus out of their house under the name of Rowe Groves. After my grandfather died, my aunt (the one who sold the house) moved in with her son (my cousin). It's all quite complicated from that point, but suffice it to say that my aunt and grandmother ended up living in eastern KY and renting the house out.
Anyway, I do miss my grandmother, but I also miss that house. It was a grand old house...lots of great memories...holidays and Sunday dinners...running around in the groves...lots of fresh oranges to eat...helping my dad run the bush hog or cickle-bar mower...
Peace out...

Tallahassee. Mostly offshore fishing for grouper. Hoping to upgrade soon from my 20 ft center console to something in the 23 -26 range (considering Bluewater, Hydrasports, Sailfish).
