My wife and I are planning a trip to Bimini from Fort Lauderdale in June, we are going to be staying there a few days and have decided when we come back instead of heading back home we might as well stay a few more days and do some fishing off Florida, we will be in a 24' CC any help on which coast to fish and what to fish for would be greatly appreciated.

Really depends on what style fishing you like. Gulf Coast bottom fishing can't be beat but the troll on the East coast is the best in the world. East coast fish would be Mahi, Sailfish, Tuna, Kings and the Gulf would be Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack.

Bottom fishing is great over here on the East coast (grouper, snapper, cobia, AJ's, among others). Yes, our trolling is good also. Capt.Mike
