Default Fishing Fort Lauderdale in Feb

Thinking about taking the family on a charter in Feb. Any Wahoo around then? I know it is prime Sailfish season, but I have been wanting some Wahoo and I don't think I'll catch any here
Also, is it a good time for Snapper/Grouper then too?

We are in the middle of a great sailfish bite with some mahi-mahi thrown in and some big tarpon on the inshore scene. I am located in Miami.

Not a problem. We fished last night and went 4/4 on the tarpon with a 100+ pounder and a the rest going 70-40 pounds.

There have been decent numbers of smaller blackfin tuna caught in the past few weeks.. Most are incidental catches while live baiting for sails, but they're around... Haven't heard of any 20+ lber's, but the little school sized fish are around...

Went out Saturday mourning close to Las olas in 90 ft - 120 ft sunrise the mutton snappers turned on, had 5 keepers before 8 am. The big dog was 22'' she was fun and tasted good too. The bottom bite stopped , trolling didn't produce for us "I don't think it was working for the other boats either" . Started to drift in the weak current so we could eat lunch and a decent sail ate the last ballyhoo and we got the release. long day but still a great one!

I fished Sunday with Captain Rob on the Crowd Pleaser. I told him I wanted Wahoo and Dolphin if he thought there might be some around so we gave it a shot. Ended up catching a Blackfin while we were offshore before we gave up on that. Trolled around some inshore and picked up 1 Bonita before hitting a few wrecks to try for some AJ's. Captain and deckhand worked hard and were personable but it just wasn't meant to be. We only heard of a few Bonita and one King caught.
Ended the day with 1 Blackfin, 1 Bonita, and 1 Almaco Jack, but it was a beautiful day on the water.
