Default Atlanta Area Sailors

I was wondering if there are any Atlanta area sailors especially baby boomers who used to race small sailboats back in the day who might be interested in discussing the possibility of starting a new one design fleet on Lake Lanier? I stumbled across a Harbor 20 which seems ideal for solo day sailing or with 7 other passengers and comfortable 2 person one design racing. There is no hiking allowed, the jib is self tacking, and they even have an electric motor. Here is a web site where you can see pictures of the boat. I am not affiliated with the manufacturer in any way. I'm just intrigued by this boat.

Harv, I know nothing about sailing. The boat you posted about looks pretty nice for a small sailboat! I'd definately be interested in watching ya'll race if you can set this up or get something started. Good Luck with the venture!!

Harv,

The Lake Lanier Sailing Club has races in several classes. I think Wednesday evening during the summer is when they have races.

I know because I have had to dodge them before!
