RE: Islamorada early November
Decide what your priority is: fishing or social life. For fishing, decide if you want inshore or offshore.
If it's fishing, just about any key will work. At that time of year, the water has cooled a bit and the inshore and offshore fishing will be good. Your challenge will be timing your fishing between fronts. Fishing a few days before a front is generally good. Once the front hits and a couple of days after, the wind is howling and the fish shut down.
If it's social life, Key West is the preferred place. Frankly, the fishing is as good or better there too. Islamorada just isn't as develped as KW. That's not to say there's nothing to do at night, it's just more spread out.
Good luck,
PB
