Just curious about the housing and job market in the keys area.

Any insight?

We figured jamaica was a bit of stretch...so just throwing around some ideas.

Right now is the perfect time to buy in the Keys..... prices are down and it is a "buyers market"...jobs are another story depends on what you do.... small houses (1000 sq. ft.) on a nice canal start @ 400k and some fixer uppers can be had for even less.... a lot of realtors have web sites to check out.

As a matter of fact, a friend of mine is trying to sell their home in Marathon right now. Its actually two separate buildings on a really nice lot, not on the water, for $180,000. Cheapest I've seen but they really have to move back north.
