Default Fishing in Aruba March 12

I am going on a trip to Aruba and can go fishing on Wed. March 12.
It will be at least 2 of us, maybe more.
Looking to go out and catch fish - not go on a 'take a tourist fishing boat ride' - 6 hours of trolling etc. Done that before, don't want to do it again.
We'd be fine in a smaller boat or CC, whatever gets us to the fish. I've never fished in the Carribean so any type of fish would be great.
We're both experience saltwater fishermen.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

John

Go to the airport on march 11th and take flight to Caracas then find a boat for the 12th in Carballeda. You are about 60 miles from some the hottest fishing in the world, that time of the year.

Aruba in March equals some of the best Wahoo fishing around. I have fished in Aruba about a dozen times and depending on the time of year I have had Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, Blue Marilin, Albacore Tuna, and Kingfsh. March is usually great for Wahoo, it is commom to see 6-10 fish in a half day. They start trolling about 10 minutes out of the harbor. If the weather is good they will take you to the other side of the island. I have always fished with Teaser Charters. They are a local family with two 35' Bertrams fully rigged. In August of 07 I had a 250lb Blue Marlin. The rates usually run about $300 for a half day. They also have a web site.

I'd love to take that excursion, but I only have 1/2 day
I'll steer clear of the Kalpo brothers

Fished Aruba twice, not very impressed with either the local fleet. Typical tourist trollers, actually caught a decent size wahoo on a hand line, other than that .........save your money
