Default Boca to FLL - Charter

I am asking about charters for a business associate that will be in Boca the week after Xmas. He has a party of 4 to 6 that includes 10 and 13 year old boys. I would not classify them as avid fishermen but would like to get out on the water for a half / full day. Not species specific, just want something to pull on the string and excite the boys.

The big question I would think would be the weather. With the kids they might be better with a SF charter than a CC, but that certainly adds to the cost. The CC however would give them more range and options. I think they would even consider a charter in some of the fresh water canals.

At this point my recommendation was to check out the charter docks at Hillsboro and Bahia Mar when they first get into town. At least they would have a better feel for the weather and may be able to locate or even split a charter. I know it is risky as they may find everything booked, but would the booking risk outweigh the weather risk.

Any advice i can pass along would be appreciated as well as recommendations of charters or captains. Thanks.

Bob.

I have fished with Cary Hanna, actually for my bachelor party. We didn't want to hassle with our boats, so he took us for a fun fishing trip. He is a nice guy, low key and knows how to catch fish for fun. He is pretty cheap and worth the ride.

I had a good time on this boat http://www.liteningsportfishing.com/

He is at the cove in Deerfield and runs out of Hillsboro or Boca inlet.

Bob,

The fishing with Cary Hanna was for the boys, before the wedding at The Ft Lauderdale Yacht Club.

We went fishing for a week in Costa Rica for the honeymoon. Why do you think I married Beth? She loves to fish and you have never heard a girl scream like when hooked-up to a marlin!

For the price of 1 sportfisherman you can get 2 center console boats. That way you can put the kids on one and the hardcore anglers on another. The kids can go catch spanish mackerral and trout and the adults can go after the offshore stuff. Just an Idea. Let me know if I can be of help.
