Going down to the keys in the third week of January, staying on Islamorada. Been there many times, love the keys. However, I want to go after some swordfish. I have read that most of the larger catches have come off of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, and smaller fish are normally found around the keys. I am not against driving up to Miami.

Can anyone recomend a good captain to book with for a night trip?

If there are any other tips about swordfishing would be interested to hear them.

I don't know about size of fish in the Keys versus Ft. Lauderdale, but the Main Attraction out of Key Colony Beach Marina (Marathon area) has been doing OK on swords.
