Default Leaving for the Abaco's on the 27th

Heading out of Miami early a.m. and shooting to West End. Plan to clear customs and top off fuel at OBB and make the run to Guana Cay. If anyone is interested in joining up. Return trip is set for the 4th.

Just a suggestion, we have found that clearing in Treasure is a bit less crowded than waiting at the docks in West End. You will have to catch a cab to the airport but at least the rest of the party can grab a swim, some lunch and punch at the pool bar. We passed on our trip to the Abacos this year but will be back in Guana next year. Say hey to the Nippers crowd and enjoy.

Even better than Treasure is Spanish on your way to Guana. Took us about 15 minutes and she is very nice and helpful.

Was this recently and did they have fuel @ Spanish? My plan is to leave on a friday (27) and hope to be at OBB by 9:30 a.m., clear, top off the tanks and hit Guana by 1:00. Then grab lunch in Marsh and fish the late bite. P.M. me with the Spanish info, I'm open if it will save me time.

Green Turle is super easy. Gas is $4.88 a gallon at the GT club. Spanish is also easy but gas is alittle more. Have some lunch in GT and shoot out Whale. All the birds you want in the early am and late pm. Lots of small tunas with a few bigger ones mixed in.

"cpern" has the ticket. As long as your not needing fuel in west end and can hold out until Spanish or GT you should do just that. West end can be a major hassle especially this time of year when things are busy. Cleared a couple of weeks ago at GT and it was the easiest and nicest customs expierience I've ever had. The Green Turtle Club was the cheapest fuel I found in all the Abacos. Treasure and Marsh customs can be a major PITA. They sometimes want you to stay at the boat until they come to you from the airport.

I am leaving Ft. Pierce for Green Turtle on the 26th for 10 days. Customs at Spanish is as good as it gets. See you at Nippers!

We had trouble several times with gas in Spainsh. Were out for several days. They are definitely a hit or miss for gas. Green Turtle was gas plentiful and quick. Customs no problem especially in the early day.

Have fun!!!
