Trying to find detailed, upto date, loaded with information chart for the Keys....specifically Marathon Oceanside.

I have used Topspot and Home Port Charts which are both very good. I do not believe Topspot has been updated for a few years.

Has anyone seen and have comments on the charts listed below (or have other recommendations)???

British Admiralty Florida East Coast and Keys
ISS Waterproof Charts Florida East Coast and Keys
Maptech Florida East Coast and Keys
NOAA (NOS) Florida East Coast and Keys
OceanGrafix Florida East Coast and Keys
Richardsons Florida East Coast and Keys

Topspot is not really intended for navigation. It is a fishing chart really. I use my Topspot charts because they have the GPS numbers for the wrecks and stuff already on them. But I do not use them to plot with. It even says somewhere on them "not intended for navigation".

Go with the NOAA charts. You can get them from a variety of places - including OceanGrafix. The paper charts are updated every two years, and in between printings NOAA issues "notice to mariners" bulletins that include updates you can add yourself.

Thanks for the info on the NOAA charts......I will definitely check them out......

The Topspot has been great for all the structure and GPS information that they give out...but they have been out for a while and everyone and their brother has one......

I have used the Topshot the last few times I have been down, and plan to try to explore a little bit and try to find some of our own Hotspots/GPS......or maybe cheat alittle and find a more recent chart.

Went to the website and the description (listed below) looks perfect.....

Bathymetric contours have been added in popular fishing areas and peaks and holes have been highlighted. A total of 200 Plotted and Indexed GPS Positions for Reefs and Wrecks, Fishing Areas such as the "Hump", "Woods Wall", and the "Ups and Downs" Information from 2 NOAA Charts; 11434 and 11450. GPS Datum

It seems they have included the GPS info as well as the info from the NOAA charts recommended above....

Do you know how up to date thier charts are??????
