Default Tubing in Fort Myers area

We have our boat in a marina on the Caloosahatchee near the College parkway bridge in Fort Myers and was wondering if there is any where around there to do tubing for the kids. I never see anyone tubing in the Gulf or the River and was looking for somewhere to let the kids try it. We are normally down the in the summer months.

Thanks

We are a long ways upstream, east of the power plant, near Olga, in east Ft Myers. We see tubing and water sking every day. Go east.

I'm down south and tube in the gulf, just outside of New Pass or Big Carlos Pass, about every weekend. I would stay away from the channels, of course.

Agree with Dry Rot - go upstream (up river). By going up river you avoid saltwater in the kids eyes, calmer water for tubing, and you will encounter less boats and boat traffic.

Thanks for the answers. I will try to get the kids out there this summer, just have to convince them that it is safe out there if they fall of the tube.

I frequently see tubers between the Midpoint and the other bridges. There's plenty of water outside the channel.

Go north of the veterens bridge, the water is about 4 to 5 feet perfect for tubing outside the channel.
