Default RE: 8A reef

8a is about 16 miles out of Port Canaveral. It is a limestone ledge about 4 miles long. It averages 5-8 foot drop in about 70 foot of water. What is there depends on time of year. The last month or so it has been loaded with snake kingfish (under 10 pounds), barracuda, sharks and an occasional cobia. There is the usual reef mix bottom fishing but that has been pretty dead lately. At times there are quality bottom fish (fall/winter) It can hold offshore pelegics if the water is clean and of good temp.

Hope that helps..
