Trying to restart the aborted search from last year when I ran out of time and was forced to rent a 3/4-ton Powerstroke from Wayne Akers Ford for the family vacation. I'm looking for a 3/4-ton Suburban or pick-up capable of towing an 8,600lb boat. Taking the boat from Jupiter to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Four-wheel drive is preferred as is a stock vehicle (no lift kits, oversize wheels, etc.). Ideally I'd like to stay below $5k.

I have a 1993 3/4 ton suburban for sell. It has a 10,000 and some odd pound tow rating. It has the 7.4 ltr engine, 82,000 miles. 4x4, A/C, pwr everything, tow pkg, third row seating. No lift or huge tires. Nice, clean truck. $8300 obo. It will pull just about anything, I have a 8500 lbs boat and never even spun a tire at the ramp. Let me know if you are interested.
