I live in Cohasset MA and looking for a reasonably price aluminum trailer to hold my 23' Regulator. Yours would be a little big but might work for the right price. Would you take $2K for it. I have purchased ace-trailers recently and been very happy with them. My price on a 22-24 tandem axle is $2175. It is slightly smaller than yours and has a 7K capacity.
I could pick it up over the weekend. Let me know. My email is s.cunning@comcast.net.

Cunning4,
You are comparing apples to oranges. I think you might want to double check GVWR vs capacity on your trailer. If you have 14" wheels/tires your trailer does not have 7K capacity. You did not mention what type of axles (torsion or spring...removable spindles?), SS hardware, what type of brakes, how many axles with brakes and what type of tires are included for $2175.
The Loadmaster advertised here is priced well for being a 2004 model w/Kodiak disc brakes on both axles and SS hardware. This trailer has 2 x 5200# torsion axles w/removable spindles, 15" 6-Lug wheels, GY Marathon radials and 7400# capacity. The trailer is also a 24-26' model.
BTW, I will buy it for 2K because even down here in FL w/heavy competition in the aluminum boat trailer market I could sell that trailer for 3K very quickly. When you add the cost of shipping the trailer up to MA this trailer is priced very well at $3250.
"NEW 2005 24-26 FT ALUMINUM BOAT TRAILER, 7,000 GVW TANDEM, CARRYING CAPACITY 5,900 POUNDS WITH ONE SET OF SURGE DRUM BRAKES, ALUMINUM I BEAM CONSTRUCTION WITH TONGUE WRAP, V-ALUMINUM CROSS MEMBERS, GALVANIZED SPOKE WHEELS, COMPLETE STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE, ADJUSTABLE BUNKS WITH MARINE CARPET, GALVANIZED V-TORSION AXLES, H/D DIAMOND PLATE STEP ON FENDERS, H/D WINCH STAND AND FRONT CENTER BOARDS. TO UPGRADE THE ALUMINUM RIMS IS AN ADDITIONAL $85.00 PER RIM. WE ARE A BOAT TRAILER MANUFACTURER. PLEASE SEE OUR WEBSITE AT ACE-TRAILERS.COM FOR PICTURES AND MORE"
I realize that there are only brakes on one axle and the weight is less but is there any other real difference. Also, the tires they use seem to be 15" rims. Any thoughts about Ace-Trailers vs the Loadmaster? Shipping is $300 extra unless he has a full load coming up here.
Still interested in the used Loadmaster. I realize it is a better but need help understanding how much better.
All I am saying is that you can't compare a 7K GVWR to an 8.6K GVWR trailer. You can't compare drum brakes to Kodiak disc brakes.
You stated:
"My price on a 22-24 tandem axle is $2175. It is slightly smaller than yours and has a 7K capacity."
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against any trailer mfg. From my experience you get what you pay for (in most cases). When comparing one mfg to another the details may not be obvious. Everyone has a budget and that will affect your decision on what you purchase. I'm only trying to point out that a generalized statement on what a trailer cost is not always an apples to apples comparison.
Here are a few things to consider (not addressing any specific mfg):
Type of Tires (GY Marathon Radials are expensive)
Removable spindles (nice feature and makes a torsion axle more expensive)
I-beam size (should be engineered to support the load)
Bolt sizes (some use 3/8 where others us 1/2 or 5/8)
Brakes (some use drum and some use Kodiak disc)
The advertisement you quoted below is different than what you stated above (24-26' vs 22-24' and 7K gross vs 7K capacity) and does not have a price.
I did not mean to de-rail this thread and I apologize. I was only trying to point out that generalizations about trailer pricing do not necessarily compare apples to apples as is the case here. If you do your homework you will see the differences from one mfg to another.
With that being said, 3K would be one heck of a good deal on the trailer advertised here.
If you have any specific questions about Loadmaster or Rolls Axle trailers feel free to send an email and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
Would this be overkill for a Kencraft 215 with bracket? It seems like it might a bit too big for my needs, but I'm just down the road in Concord, MA and it would make my life a lot easier if I ddn't have to get something shipped.
