Cleaning up the shop and posting what I am not using..... this is my own personal gear.
I have 4 of the Penn V 70 VS International reels. They have only seen 3, maybe 4 trips total on the ocean. They came off of some Star Rods that I haven't decided if I am going to sell or not. If you need rods and like Star, I could take some pics of them also..... (Straight butt, all roller guides, 50 - 100 lb class)
As you can see from the pics, I took the pics in the direct sunlight to show just how hard you will have to look in order to find any issues. They have no more wear than if they were being displayed in a showroom and being handled by prospective buyers. There are a few MINOR scratches but you will have to look for them...
Seriously, they look that good. I just don't fish enough with them to justify keeping them.
I have the original boxes. I can either ship them in the boxes or wrap them HEAVILY in bubble rap and ship them in a flat rate, shipping the reel boxes separately.
I have sold more than more than 99% of the THT members and you guys know I am pretty accurate with my descriptions.
Pretty much the only wear on them is the black backer plate that secures the reel to the rod. The backers have some scratches and one of them has a little chip of paint missing.
They are spun w/ 80lb (Momoi I think).
MSRP is $700 each....(line another $60 per reel)..... I am selling for $ 525 each
I never filled out the warranty cards......... still in the boxes.
I will throw in a little goodie bag w/ some lures for the reel buyers........ it will be worth your while if you let me know what kind of fish you are going after......

This is what the look like and how they go on.....
They are designed to slide over the reel while it is still on the rod.
What I like about these is the liner inside is waterproof and THE REEL HANDLE is covered. All of the other ones I have, the reel handle still gets scratched....
