I have a set of 6 brand new 6' 30 lb class stand up rods and a set of 6 brand new 50 lb class rods. These rods were made as prototype models that never went into production - I am told that they are made by the same factory that makes Penn rods using nicer blanks than what Penn uses. None of these rods have ever even had a reel mounted. The silver/black/blue wraps look very nice. All rods come with a nylon rod sock.
30 lb Rods feature silver aluminum Pac Bay butts, Pac Bay roller guides, and very nice leather foregrip.
50 lb rods feature gold aluminum Pac Bay butts, Pac Bay roller guides, and foam foregrips.
I will sell each set for $450 shipped. Payment by credit card. I do not want to sell the rods individually at this point.
I would love 6 matching rods. That said, are they stiff 30"s? Would they be to light for 50"s?
Mark
I actually have a set of 6 matching 50 lb class rods - I can post pics of those on Monday (didn't have time this afternoon). In my opinion, these rods would be a little bit light for 50s.
are these acceptable bottom fishing rods? will you sell individually?
You could use them for bottom fishing, but with aluminum butts and roller guides, they are better suited for trolling. I would prefer to sell them as a set.
Does that say 8' on the 50 class standups? I cant tell if the gold butt is the 50 or 30. Anyway, either way wouldnt that be way too long for a stand up rod?
I like the look of the silver butt especially if its a unibutt. Is it Aftco or off-brand? If aftco I would be interested in a set
Daniel, hows it going? Its Andrew, hope you've been well. Are the rods 2 piece?
Hey Andrew, butts are detachable on all of the rods. Let's go fishing sometime soon. I haven't been offshore in ages, or I would be glad to take you inshore on my flats boat.

All of the rods are 6' long. 6' is a pretty standard length for lighter stand-up rods. The gold butts are on the 50s. All of the butts and guides are PacBay. PacBay is a reputable brand (www.fishpacbay.com) - maybe not Aftco quality, but still pretty good - never heard of a failure with a PacBay butt.
The list price on the PacBay butts alone is $99.99, though you can probably find them cheaper online. I am asking $75 apiece for these rods - that's less than it would cost to just buy the butt.
Been out of town for a while, but just wanted to let all interested parties know that I still have these rods. I also have some 50# class chair rods and some 80# class rods - will get the specifics on those up next week.
