just got nailed with a pro-rating of property taxes after we took the house over from my mother-in-law which had double star program, now we have to pay 16k at the end of december, Thats why I need the coffin, if its still here its mine the second or third week in jan.

I hate to say this but I bought the boat I guess around March last year, bought the new trailer, had it delivered to pick up the boat in nj. At that time it had the 1991 225, the mechanic had my old bosses 2001 250, which me and him new my old boss never used the boat, twice in 3 yrs. I jumped on the trade, of course me also giving money. When I got home I started looking through the brochure an 300hp is the max in 1991. The answer to your question is I can't be 100% sure I just don't remember, I only used it 5 times, If I remember but don't quote me, 37mph cruise and about 46mph top end.

Great looking motor - Why is the cavitation plate and lower gear box silver and not black? I am looking to replace my blown up 200. Today is the start of my search. Thanks

7Husker- The XS motors by Mercury are offered with different gearcases than the standard Opti motors. Those available are the SportMaster, TorqueMaster and the Fleetmaster. In this case, the gearcase is a 25" HD FleetMaster 1.75:1.
$10,700 will include controls, cables, tach, water gauge, oil tank, 23" Tempest Plus prop, motor cover and derigging/shipping to your destination. Let me know if anyone is interested.
