If your not in a hurry I'll be doing a repower in Jan I have a 1995 225 Yamaha . I'd let it go now but I'll still be using it till then.

Ive got a 99 200 opti will all the updates. I want to trade it for a 150 opti or efi, or possibly sell it and buy a 150... This engine runs like a top, great compression, good fuel mileage.

I have a 1990 225 Evinrude sitting on a skid in my back yard. It a 25" shaft and was running when I pulled it off in January 2008 when I repowered.
Have controls , think I'm missing the oil tank. Planned on rebuilding another boat and installing... never going to happen, thus would like to see it gone.
Also have a 1978 115 Chrysler sitting next to it, that needs to go.

is the engine Yamaha OX66 salwater series II?

My buddy has the left hand 98 250 ox66 that is the sister to the right hand that I have on my flats boat. It is a 25 inch shaft. I know for a fact that it was taken great care of b/c I have the right hand on my boat. Mine runs like a top. If you want I can check on a price for you? Just leave me a message or I will watch this thread. Oh yeah, it is a saltwater series 250

I have a 1998 Yamaha 250 OX66 engine with 650 hours. Is that what you may be interested in? NADA on it is like $4,100. If you like make an offer. I have the prop, battery wire, wire harness. Let me know and I can send more details and pics.

if your intrested i have a new rebuilt powerhead for a 225 johnson, less than 10 hours runs great but it has 30" shaft, you would need to get the 25" gearbox and chassis. i have the cowlings. i was quoted about 600 to make the change from 30 inch to 25 inch, i also have the twin moter that came off the boat 2200 takes all, so for under 3k you got a new 225 and an extrs motor that can be fixed or sold for parts...
