My price includes a rod and a reel (only local pickup). Like I mentioned, I have 3 Penn rods that are 6' and 1 Penn rod that is 5'6" all with Penn V 70VS reels. All are brand new, spooled and never used.

On the website given: the prices varies depending on the type of rod. I agree, it sounds like a heck of a deal for now since the site states no sales tax and shipping fees, but it appears to be a limited special....as the fine print on their website states:

"This item is a Limited Special/Online Exclusive Consumer Electronics Product or Heavy / Oversized product and incurs a shipping charge"

So, even though they state no shipping fees...there may be one since it's an oversized product. I'll let you guys decide on this one. Also, I didn't see anything about the reels being spooled on the site. Who knows with the economy the way it is the prices will probably remain the same or drop. I'll keep my prices the same since I'm in no rush to sell.

Also, if someone veries that there's no shipping fees, feel free and post it here.

Very tough crowd....but that's what forums are for. I'm sure there's better deals out there....trust me! Like the ebay ad states and shows....it looks like some guy/gal put his/her rod and reel in an ebay auction and was willing to take a big loss while someone got a deal/steal. I can't blame him/her for tough times if he/she needs the money. Also, in the ebay auction it looks like all the bidders are the same guy with three different usernames (look at the bid history)....there's 3 different users that bidded and uses "***" (3) asterix in their username. Sounds fishy!! Come to think of it...the person even loss more money since he/she posted the ad to start the bid at $500. Ebay takes a certain percentage when you post your item at a higher price I believe.

All I'm saying is that for those who can't wait for the ebay auction to end, for those who hate searching through endless online shopping sites for deals and for those of you who hate paying and waiting on shipping. Here are 4 rods and 4 reels spooled up and ready to go!! Going out fishing today....can have them in your hands that same day....ready to go!! I may even cut a deal if someone is interested in all 4!!

Besides, buying stuff on the internet from someone you don't meet face-to-face is a big risk (when dealing with someone who ships their items out). For instance, if you don't like what you get then you have to box it back up, send it back and deal with the hassle on getting your money back. If you deal with a company then your most likely better off on getting a return. Plus remember, you have to pay for the return shipping fees which in the ebay auction's case was $40!! In the ebay auction case, you would have shelled out $80 for shipping!! But in this ebay auction's case, everything went smoothly based on the feedback which is how a transaction should be. I would have to say....being able to get a deal, see the item before purchasing and picking it up the same day is a plus.

Like I said, I'll let you guys decide on this one.

Just for reference:

eBay inserts "***" in everyone's username that bids on an item... It's to protect their identity. For example, my eBay username is "edsmith03." If I bid on an item, and you look at the page for that item, you will see "e***3" as the bidder's username. It protects the bidder's identities.....
