 2001 Evinrude Ficht 225 Motor - 120 hours - $2900
Here's the story. I picked this motor up while doing some trading. I had no idea of the history of the motor, just that the motor/block itself looks almost new and the cowling/cover has a crack in it. I took it to an Evinrude dealer to check it out...Here's what the mechanic found.
Compression is great, all within 5 psi of each other.
All updates have been performed, including new ECM.
120 original hours on motor.
Changed lower unit oil, lower unit checked out fine.
Replaced spark plugs.
The only thing keeping this motor from running is one bad injector that is physically broke.
I have all paper work from dealership regarding the check out.
