25" shaft, the motor is in good condition, a few dings on the cowling but nothing very noticable. It has 470 Total hours and 90 hours on a rebuilt power head. Many new parts installed including stator, O2 sensor, thermostats, ignition coils etc. I have a list of all the work that was done locally. The injectors have been rebuilt and the fuel system cleaned and motor serviced by Jack's Interbay (Yamaha Dealer). The motor runs like new and starts up every time with no problems. I'm selling it because I'm upgrading to twins. I just recently removed the motor from my 25' pursuit.
Asking $5,200 includes SS prop and controls.
I'm located in Tampa, FL and can arrange shipping depending on how far away you are.
Do you know what caused the major problem at 380 hours?

The bottom left cylinder had minor scoring probably from bad gas from the boat sitting up before I bought it. Interestingly, despite this, compression was still perfect in all cylinders. I went ahead and had the whole thing rebuilt in addition to replacing the other parts (about $7k) because I never wanted to have any other issues with the motor again. Originally the O2 sensor caused the motor to run in "safe" mode which prompted me to have my mechanic look at it and do the repairs. The motor runs like new now and I have had no issues with it since. I have recently taken it on several long (60+ mile) trips with absolute confidence.

Fuel Burn is 2.3 MPG/13 GPH at 30 MPH when the boat is lightly loaded about 2 MPG/15 GPH Loaded in seas.
I will consider delivery if its not too far away. Buyer pays for shipping or we can work somthing out, make me an offer and we'll talk. I will also include all gauges (tach, speed, fuel managment) and everything else needed to rig the motor including wiring for a full asking price offer where the buyer pays shipping if any.
good deal I just bought twins 250s 2002's for 7000$ digital gauges controles and tanks I fell into that deal some guy with money wanted them off his boat with less that 300hrs on them so he could get E-tecs. I am putting these on my 25 bertram on a brackrt.
Sure, I will consider arranging shipping to South Carolina, I don't really care where the motor is shipped to as long as its not out of the country. If you need a quote I think I read somewhere that large outboards are class 85 Freight and that Estes has decent prices for this type of shipment, hope this helps.
