I recieved my lights about a month ago. Between it being too cold over here in VA. and me getting sent away from home to train, (military),,, what can I use to caulk these lights on? I don't want to screw them in the transome and I have 3M 5200,,, but it's been too cold to use it. Is there anything else I canuse to stick these awesome bright lights on my transom and it'll stay? Hopfully when I get back home, you guys can give me some ideas and I can get these things on. I've already ran my wiering and everything,,,, just need the lights stuck on the transome that's all I need....
Thanks

got my lights and hot wired it to my 7.3 diesel truck batt. More than bright enough! The local FAA center thought it was the lights off one of their planes comming in for a landing? LOL [not] great product chris, especially the price!
chris i'd like to get two lights with the wires on the top. I live in miami so let me know if you'd prefer local pickup and being paid in cash, or mail and paypal. Also can you make the wires 4 feet long???
thanks, eddy
I made a new light for my boat which is equivelent of just over two lights. I was out last night and the effect is pretty dam good. I found that mounting it as deep as possible is best. Where I had it before close to the surface and right between the engines causes to much glare.
But as usual my camera sucks and it didn't take a good picture. I am buying a real camera this week. But I will tell you that the light mounted just above the drain plug on the transom provided a 20' diameter area of lighted water. And somehow the light even penetrates forward and can be seen by looking over the side close to the bow.
Thanks Chris I will probably be ordering soon can you make a light with six boards in one housing instead of 2 separate units. I am kind of limited on placing the lights between the motors for max depth. Also PM me a quote if you can do it.
I know you are busy, but I would love to see some pics of the new lights you put on your boat. I would like to order some from you but don't know how many to go with. Thanks, JJ
Scarab Chris, 2 things, Could you mount the light source on a wedge platform to it points down 60 degrees or so? Secondly, are you now producing a revised light source as you mention above which is a little brighter?
Thanks and I am planning on ordering one. I will look for your reply.
As I'm sure you have found out by now (wish I saw this sooner) a colored lens will filter out a lot of light, probably too much for you to be happy with it. Colored LED is the way to go. Me and a buddy used to build our own lights for night-time mountain bike riding. Torture tested at the 24 Hours of Canaan! Isn't it satisfying building your own stuff? =)
By the way, if you run into too much work, give me a call. I'm around around the corner from you in Hollywood, and a stay home dad these days. I could easily do piece work for you to help out with production.
