For sale is a 2005 Evinrude E-Tec 90hp outboard engine, control box, control wiring (about 12ft), engine harness, key switch, tilt/trim, tachometer, and SST prop. This engine comes with a full manufactures warranty through October 2007. This engine is in great conditon. It is very quiet, clean, and fast. It always cranks right up with no smoke. This is the dark blue model. The MSRP on a new one is over $9000 just for the engine and then another $1000 for the rigging equipment. The NADA blue books list just the engine for $5730 in low-retail (not running) and $6440 in average retail. I am asking $5500 and the engine runs and looks great.
I was invited to join the Yamaha Saltwater Fishing Team so the Evinrude must go.
I had already done the 300hr service myself at 300hrs but just had the dealer do it again 10/4/06 so it would be fresh for the new owner. The engine has 425 hours on it, but the engine computer EMM was switched out and only has 222 hours on it. I also have the Engine History Report from the dealer which shows that the engine was run above 5000rpms only 0.57% of the engine hours. I never ran this engine hard and always took very good care of it. It has alot of hours but will probably run forever because I have already worked any kinks out. The buyer will be responsible for shipping or can pick up. There is no warranty and the item is sold as is. For payment I will take a certifed bank check, money order, cash, personal check (wait until it clears), or credit card (with a 3% fee). Please email jrwaits@fishcall.com with any questions. I have lots of pictures.
Thank you,
Capt. J.R. Waits

We have a 18' Wellcraft Center Console in need of a new engine. However I believe we need a 25" shaft and your's is 20". It appeared from the picture your engine is mounted on a bay boat. Our current engine is a 140 Johnson V-4. Since you have a lot more experience than us do you have any idea if your E-tec would work?
Measured the transon yesterday and it is 25", so no go for me. I'll spread the word and see if someone has a skiff or something. Otherwise the E-tec would have been perfect for me. Good luck in selling it.
