Hey Guys,

I own a Raymarine A65 Chartplotter/Fishfinder with the Navionics Gold charts for the east coast.

I mostly boat in the Great South Bay which is on the south shore of Long Island, NY. This bay is extremely shallow. If look at the chart for this area, the safety contour (where the depths go from white to blue is 3ft).

My problem is that the A65 safety contour only go as low as 7ft. This makes the chart-plotter look nothing like what it does on the paper chart of the area. Is there anything that can be done for this situation?

Pat

Fish-n-Chip for P+/Lowrance HDS users?

I have owned the 912P+ chart since early July. It has not worked on my HDS-10 at all until the 10/19 Lowrance update.
I have spent hours on the phone with both Lowrance and Navionics. I have exchanged numerous e-mails. Both Lowrance and Navionics offered to have me return my products to them, but I chose not to since my HDS is console mounted and Navionics told me they would charge me $50 if my chart was found to have nothing wrong. Also I was patiently waiting for another Lowrance update, which finally came on on 10/19.

Now my P+ chart works, but the Fish-n-Chip feature does not. I spoke with Dan from Navionics by phone just yesterday and he said I needed to wait for Lowrance to issue a new update before I would be able to use the Fish-n-Chip feature. Fine, I'll wait. What's another 5-months without the functionality that I paid for? Why wouldn't Navionics send me the Fish-n-Chip while I am waiting for Lowrance to come out with another update?

The latest Lowrance update didn't seem to change anything.
I think Lowrance is still waiting for the fix from Navionics but
my last email response form them they showed little interest
also.
At this point I don't really care as the HDS is a wonderful sonar
and the Lowrance built in charts work as they should.

But I will remain hopefull.
