Wedge vs. Teardrop - The Hull Truth

I want to purchase a couple of bags for use on my 43' Viking. I will use the bags primarily in the cockpit to lean against the gunnels, and also on the helm deck area when running out to sea. Even though we have plenty of space, I don't want the bags to be any larger than they have to be. Most of us are big guys--6'0", 200 - 230 lbs. I was considering either the large wedge or the medium longneck teardrop--any suggestions? What is the advantages / differences between the wedge and the teardrop design?

There are many differences between the two. The wedge is very firm but will give alot of support with little deck space used. The teardrop is a little more comfortable but not as effecient use of deck space as the wedge. The wedge is alot easier to get in and out of but doesn't cradle you in the bag in a pitch and roll or quartering type sea like the teardrop.
