Can't go wrong with rounds for the kids, there is no wrong way to sit on a round. For the older kids they will enjoy the head support of a teardrop and generally will take the time to set them up right before flopping into them. If it were my boat though I'd still get the 5 y/o a medium teardrop as it could alsoseat an adult when the 5 y/o isn't on board. The medium teardrop is only 10.00 more than the small round and doesn't take up any more deck space than the small round.
